Job Title: Associate Designer

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Job Type: Full-Time, In-Office

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development of landscape designs, including conceptual sketches, master plans, and detailed drawings.

  • Prepare presentations, renderings, and design documentation for client meetings and project approvals

  • Extensive experience in Vectorworks

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Etc.)

  • Google Office Suite

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Conduct site analysis, including measuring and documenting existing conditions

  • Collaborate with senior designers, project managers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met

  • Support project coordination by managing schedules, materials, and budgets

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and project reports

  • Research plant materials, hardscape elements, and sustainable design practices

  • Maintain organized project files and documentation

  • Participate in team meetings and provide design input based on project requirements and company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Horticulture, or a related field

  • 1-3 years of experience in landscape design or a related role (internships included)

  • Proficiency in design software REQUIRED: Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong understanding of landscape design principles, plant materials, and hardscape elements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Passion for sustainable and environmentally responsible design solutions
