Laurel

In the rolling East Bay Hills, the Laurel project balances modern functionality with sustainable design, creating an inviting outdoor space that thoughtfully responds to the homeowners’ priorities. At the heart of the design is a sleek pool and a well-integrated ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), both seamlessly blending into the natural hillside setting.

The pool area is the centerpiece of this landscape, designed for both relaxation and recreation. Its clean lines and contemporary style harmonize with the surrounding environment, offering a serene escape while maximizing usability.

Mindful of the homeowners’ growing concern over water usage, the planting palette features exclusively native and low-to-no water species. These selections not only thrive in the East Bay’s climate but also celebrate the region’s natural beauty, creating a landscape that feels rooted in its surroundings. From vibrant bursts of drought-tolerant color to the gentle textures of native grasses, the plantings provide year-round interest while requiring minimal resources. Laurel is a harmonious blend of practicality  and modern elegance. This project stands as a testament to how thoughtful design can meet diverse needs—enhancing livability, conserving resources, and reflecting a deep connection to the local environment.
